What makes BV Basketball different? Unlike many AAU/club tournament teams that focus only on winning games, our program is designed to develop skills and prepare players for the next level. Winning is fun, but the priority is ensuring players learn to develop their skills, game knowledge, and gain experience playing at a high level. Given the choice, we strive to both win and improve each individual player. Sometimes the best teachable moments come from losses and those moments can be used to improve our players.
We work with players from 7th to 9th grade which allows us to focus our full energy and attention on improving each individual’s performance.
Our practice schedule gives us plenty of time to work on individual and team drills. Our players will practice in game-like scenarios and be required to maintain the stamina to be able to play multiple games over several days during tournament play.
Tournament games are played in the highly competitive Houston, Texas area with practices held in Katy, TX. Each player is going to get plenty of game time to improve their skills before going into their next junior high school girls basketball season or moving on to high school after 8th grade.
BV Basketball is ideal for development to competitive players looking to make their Jr. High School teams or move from C/B team to B/A team. Current A team and select/elite AAU level players who aren't starters and get minimal game time will benefit by getting game time experience.
Recruting information: BV Basketball has connections with college coaches ranging from NCAA Division 1 to NJCAA Division III college coaches. We are not a recruitment service, but we are happy to facilitate connections between our players, our partner's players, and those girls basketbal players in the Houston area looking to play at the college level.
"The only substitute for game time experience is game time experience."

BV Basketball Girls 2024 Spring Basketball Season
This season we partnered with two different club/AAU basketball programs to place players amongst those teams.
Players are primarily from the Katy, Texas and Richmond, Texas areas. Girls basketball players from Richmond, Fulshear, Sugar Land and other Houston, TX surrounding areas are welcome to join.
2024 Spring Season typically runs from March through June.
Our innagural Summer/Fall 2023 program was a great success. We had 5 players make their 8th grade school teams who didn't make it last year plus one 7th grader who made it her first try! Everyone that tried out made their teams, including two returning school players. It shows that giving girls a chance is worth the effort! Congratulations to our Girls 2023 Summer/Fall Basketball Tournament Team!
We are not currently holding tryouts at this time. Feel free to reach out to us if you need help finding a local AAU/Club Team in the area for your player.
Our partnerships with other AAU basketball teams means we can ensure you're placed on a team that will best fit your stage in basketball skill development to maximize your playing time and give you an opportunity to advance to more competitive teams as you further mature and develop as a player.
Many tournaments scheduled and skills matched with other players means lots of playing time!
Different programs have different dues structures. AAU/Club basketball dues typically range from $1,200 to $2,500 depending upon the organization. We typically price our own programs around $1,500/season.
